Dr. Raymond A. Johnson graduated Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA in 1972. He completed his internal medicine internship and psychiatric residency at Hahnemann Hospital & Medical college also in Philadelphia. Dr. Johnson currently operates his practice in South Fort Myers. He has 39 years experience treating psychiatric disorders in addition to specializing in addictions.

Along with Dr. Johnson the practice includes two nurses and two office staff. Dr. Johnson in, partnership with his patient, works to help his patient meet their fullest mental health potential and quality of life. His process includes Psychopharmacology (Medication management) in addition to directing his patients to the appropriate psychologist or councilor should it assist in the process.

The office prides itself in the confidential, personalized treatment we offer our patients. The science of psychiatry is an ongoing ever changing process. One of Dr Johnson's approaches to this challenge is to encourage families to participate in his patients treatment by encouraging the people closest to his patient to be involved in the process of becoming well. It is helpful for the diagnostic process to gather information from family as they see behavior on a daily basis that the patient may not see.
